How I bought XCopy REACHBACK artwork
I really like what XCopy do. I also love the new NFT plateform HicEtHunc, which use tezos blockchain instead of ethereum. So one day, I posted on twitter a simple question
Imagine that, like many artist discovering hicetnunc, @XCOPYART publish something on it … for cheap … Just to try, just to play … Are you ready for it? — NftBiker.eth (@NFTBiker) April 6, 2021
It was my way to bring attention to HEN plateform which is gaining traction, and I didn’t really expected XCopy to answers to that.
But on the next day, around 10pm, I saw on HEN an art that really look like as an Xcopy art, but it was not for sale. I was waiting for it to goes on sale, so I was refreshing my browser every minute. After 30 minutes, the art was still not on sale, so I just twitted directly to XCopy
Is it real? — NftBiker.eth (@NFTBiker) April 7, 2021
No answer from him, I kept refreshing my browser then 15 minutes later, it went on sale and I immediatly bought it thinking: if it’s a fake, it’s really well made fake and the price is cheap so it’s OK, but if it’s real then, “oh … my … god” :-)
All night, I was wandering if it was really Xcopy or not that did drop this, and I didn’t slept much. In the morning, still nothing about this on XCopy twitter, but then around 2pm, he posted this
had a weird dream I dropped a piece on @hicetnunc2000 — XCOPY 🏴 (@XCOPYART) April 8, 2021
So I had the confirmation that I bought a real XCopy art. There was 3 of them, they all went in 1 minute :-)
I see more and more well-known artists trying HEN plateform, and posting some of their art there. This is so great because as a collector, we don’t have to pay insane gas fee like on ethereum so we can spend more money on art and less on pipes. And for less known artist, it’s also great because it’s really affordable to mint on HEN (a few bucks).
The NFT is available here.
